The Securitisation Award recognises outstanding achievement or a transaction, initiative or organisation that had a significant positive contribution to or impact on the (Dutch) securitisation market in 2017/2018.
Three initiatives have been nominated by an independent advisory board.
Argenta is a Belgian retail bank-insurance group providing simple, honest products and services and strives to provide its customers in Belgium and the Netherlands a financially healthy life and support economic growth.
The long term view of its family shareholder has driven ‘organic’ growth over the past 62 years, while building one of the most profitable, stable and best capitalized banks in Europe.
We believe that the RMBS instrument can add essential value to both the stability as well as the organic growth of banking activities as we aspire growth in Belgium and the Netherlands for the coming decade(s).
The Green Apple 2017-I NHG transaction indicated to us that investors, rating agencies as well as the Central Banks warmly welcomed Argenta’s raison d’être and recognized our performance.
We are proud that the € 1.2 billion transaction, with which Argenta returned to the RMBS market after an absence of 10 years, immediately proved to have an outstanding performance after launching at a historic tight spread for an amortising issuance, and we especially cherish the markets response outed in the massive oversubscription.
At the Securitisation Event 2018, 22 march 2018 in Amsterdam, participants will determine this year’s winner by popular vote. Nominees will each get the chance to pitch their motivation why they should win the prestigious Securitisation Award 2018.
